Keep your graphics driver up to date.
Most crashes and 3D-preview glitches we see trace back to outdated graphics drivers, especially on integrated GPUs. If the app ever crashes, updating your driver is the first thing to try — and the app's Graphics compatibility setting (Settings → Advanced → Graphics) can trade a little visual polish for extra stability.
The .NET runtime ships inside the app — nothing extra to install.
