What's New
Build plates
- The build plate screen has been rebuilt from the ground up — the 3D preview is always visible with Auto-Arrange and Generate right in the viewport, replacing the old Arrange dialog and metadata side panel
- Unified Source Files / Print Files / Slicer Files tabs with counts and expandable metadata rows
- Notes auto-save as you type, right on the plate screen
- Track a print outcome for every file on the plate — when a print completes, everything defaults to Success and you flip the failures from a dropdown. Print counts now follow outcomes, so only successful prints count
- Select files on a plate and use Add to Plate… to copy them onto another plate — or start a new plate from the selection with Create & Add. Quantities carry over, making failed-print reruns painless
- Drag and drop onto the plate screen routes files intelligently — models land in Source Files, sliced output goes straight to Print Files
Thumbnail storage
- Choose where thumbnails are stored under Settings → Storage → Thumbnail Storage — move the cache to another drive to free up space. Available on every tier
- Moves are copy-then-switch with no restart needed; if the chosen drive goes offline, thumbnail generation pauses and recovers automatically when it returns
- The first-run wizard now lets you pick a thumbnail location up front
Improvements
- Importing image-heavy folders is much faster — image thumbnails now generate in the background after import instead of holding the import up
- The first-run wizard warns when the chosen library folder is inside a cloud-synced folder like OneDrive or Dropbox
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a serious data-loss scenario for libraries and hot folders inside OneDrive (and other sync clients): imports no longer delete source files or archives unless every file has verifiably landed in the library, and transient sync-lock errors are retried automatically
- Archive extraction now keeps its temporary working folder out of cloud-synced locations automatically (override under Settings → Import)
- Hot folders can no longer be pointed inside a library folder or the app's data directory — a configuration that could cause the app to consume its own library
- Fixed the first-run wizard occasionally opening two main windows
- Fixed build plate rename failing with an access-denied error and needlessly reloading the 3D preview
- Fixed unreadable error text in the hot folder dialog
