Improvements
Updates
- Updated release patch notifications — when a new version is available, you'll now see the new version, a summary of what changed in any releases you missed, download progress, and a link to the full release notes. You can still check manually anytime from Settings → About or Support → Release Notes.
Import
- OBJ and 3MF imports now run in an isolated background process, so a corrupt or malformed file can no longer crash the app during import or thumbnail generation.
Crash Reporting
- The crash-report dialog no longer automatically switches the app to graphics compatibility mode after a graphics-related crash — turning it on is now always your choice from the dialog.
- Crash report emails now reliably include the diagnostic details needed to investigate an issue.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed 3D previews and thumbnails failing on very large models (roughly 5.6 million+ triangles, or STL files around 280MB and up) — these used to fail on every retry and now render normally.
- Fixed a crash that could happen when your graphics device resets or is lost while resizing the app window — most commonly seen on newer NVIDIA GPUs.
- Fixed zip and batch imports incorrectly marking Lychee (.lys) file thumbnails as failed.
